DNR BOAT LAUNCH CLOSING
The White Lake Boating Access Site on Duck Lake Road
is expected to be closed
from June 5, 2017 until September 5, 2017
The WLCL has worked out an agreement with the Seven Harbors Association that will allow you to move your boat off and on the lake for repairs only.
To use this service, you must be a WLCL member. If your boat needs to be removed from the lake, you should contact the WLCL Hotline at 248-887-5658 with your name, telephone number, state boat registration number, and the nature of the repair.
Your name will be checked against the membership list, and will be forwarded to the Seven Harbors Association, who will then contact you to make arrangements for their launch to be unlocked. A donation to Seven Harbors is also suggested.
The DNR announced on March 7, 2017 that they intend to CLOSE the Boat Launch on Duck Lake Road from MID-MAY to MID-AUGUST for "site improvements".
Below is the text of the announcement on the White Lake Township Parks and Recreation Facebook Page
White Lake boating access site to close from mid-May to mid-August for site improvements.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources announced today that the White Lake boating access site, located off of Duck Lake Road in Oakland County, temporarily will close from mid-May to mid-August for site improvements.
The DNR advises White Lake residents to plan ahead and launch their boats prior to the mid-May construction closure. From mid-March until the project begins, the DNR will supply a skid pier to assist residents with launching their boats.
The improvement project will include 17 additional parking spaces, a wider launch ramp, additional landscaping and improved vehicle circulation. The new site design will allow vehicles to both enter and exit off Duck Lake Road, reducing vehicle traffic for neighboring property owners.

Extensive information about the coming changes is contained in the WLCL e-newsletter.
